A MARE \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel pela gest\u00e3o do ciclo integral da \u00e1gua, desde da captura ao armazenamento e distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua para uso dom\u00e9stico e industrial, bem como a purifica\u00e7\u00e3o e saneamento de \u00e1guas residuais. \u00c9 tamb\u00e9m respons\u00e1vel pela recolha, reciclagem e tratamento de res\u00edduos urbanos s\u00f3lidos, dos quais obt\u00e9m energia.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, apoia a conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o social, educa\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental e boas pr\u00e1ticas ecol\u00f3gicas entre os cidad\u00e3os, e promove a\u00e7\u00f5es e obras orientadas para a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o do meio ambiente no territ\u00f3rio.<\/p>\n
